World War II (1939-1945)

William John Antalek was born in Schenectady, New York, on September 20, 1911. Before entering the military, he worked for the Union Star on Clinton Street. 

On October 9, 1943, William enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private serving with the 359th Infantry Regiment, 90th Infantry Division. On July 6, 1944, William was killed in battle in France. He is buried in Sts. Cyril and Method Cemetery, Rotterdam, New York.
