William Lewis Kipp, the son of Lewis and Maude (Surdam) Kipp, was born on August 9, 1919, in Hoosick Falls, New York. It's unclear why William was in Schenectady in the early 1940's. William joined the United States Army on December 31, 1943. He was a Private First Class with Company C, 110th Infantry Regiment, 28th Infantry Division. On October 3, 1944, William was killed in battle in Germany. He is buried in the Maple Grove New Cemetery, Hoosick Falls, New York.
