World War I (1914-1918)

Alexander Campbell Biggerstaff was born in Schenectady, New York, on September 2, 1894. He grew up in the city of Schenectady and was a well-known figure in local athletic circles and played baseball with the Brandywine Avenue and Albany Street Nines. Alexander was a member of the General Electric Athletic Association.

On June 7, 1918, Alexander enlisted in the United States Navy. On October 12, 1918, while Stationed in Pelham Bay Park, New York, he died from pneumonia. He is buried in Park View Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
