Frank Curtis Case was born in Cairo, New York, on September 17, 1888. By 1914, he was living in the city of Schenectady.
On May 25, 1918, Frank enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private first class serving with the 229th Company, 115th Battalion, M.P.C, and was sent overseas aboard the U.S. Army troopship USS Mercury on June 30, 1918. It's unclear how Frank died on January 7, 1919; some reports claim he was shot accidently, while others claim he died in an aviation crash. He is buried in Park View Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
