World War I (1914-1918)

Albert Ward Clement was born in Woodbury, New Jersey, on June 25, 1899. By 1913, he was living in the city of Schenectady.

On June 26, 1917, Albert enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private first class serving with Machine Gun Company, 105th Infantry Regiment, 27th Infantry Division. On October 16, 1918, while fighting in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, Albert was killed in battle. He is buried in Vale Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.

*Albert's gravestone says he died on October 17, 1918, but all of his military paper work says October 16, 1918.
