World War I (1914-1918)

George James Fallon was born in Bennington, Vermont, on January 11, 1895. He grew up in the city of Schenectady and graduated from Craig Street's Horace Mann High School. Before joining the army, he was a student at Union College.

On June 4, 1917, George enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private first class who was training at the Master Gun School in Fort Monroe, Virginia. On October 17, 1918, he died of the flu in a hospital in Virginia.  He is buried in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
