George Frick was born in Schenectady, New York, on April 11, 1891. He grew up in the city of Schenectady, and before enlisting in the military, he worked for the American Locomotive Company.
On October 6, 1917, George enlisted in the United States Army. He completed his basic training at Camp Devens in Massachusetts. He was a private serving with Machine Gun Company, 109th Infantry Regiment. On October 1, 1918, during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, George was killed in battle. He is buried in Vale Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
