Harold Albert Hazlett, the son of David and Susan (Johnson) Hazlett, was born on December 8, 1889, in Stoneham, Massachusetts. By 1910, he was living in Schenectady County with his family. Harry attended Methodist Academy in Poultney, Vermont. He sang bass in the First Methodist Church choir and appeared in many shows throughout the years. Harry moved to New York City to study voice before enlisting in the military.  

Harry enlisted in the United States Army on May 21, 1917, and underwent his training at Camp Wadsworth in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was a Corporal in the 107th Infantry Regiment of the 27th Infantry Division. On September 29, 1918, Harry was killed in battle in France.  He is buried in the Somme American Cemetery and Memorial, France.
