World War II (1939-1945)

Charles Brumaghim was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on March 11, 1921. By 1925, he was living in Schenectady, New York. After graduating from Mont Pleasant High School in 1940, he started working for General Electric.

In September 1942, Charles enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps. He completed his radio studies in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, after completing his training in Florida. As a radio technician with the air transport command in India, Charles was sent to war in August 1943. He was a private first class serving with the 132nd AAF Base Unit, ATC. On July 10, 1944, Charles was killed in an aviation accident close to Kunming, China. He is buried in the Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie, New York.
