Michael A. Cipriano, the son of Michael and Emilia (DePasquale) Cipriano, was born on March 21, 1925, in Rotterdam, New York. He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School. Michael worked for Weiss Market on Broadway before joining the military.
In June, 1943, Michael enlisted in the United States Army and was trained in Georgia and Texas. He held the rank of Private First Class and served with Company B, 395th Infantry Regiment, 99th Infantry Division. He was deployed in September 1944, and before moving to Germany, he served in Belgium and England. On March 15, 1945, during the Battle of Remagen, Michael was killed in combat. He is buried in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Colonie, New York.
