William Aloyisius"Al" Connelly Jr., the son of William and Clara (Tibbits) Connelly, was born on July 24, 1917, in Schenectady, New York. He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School and worked as a restaurant manager.
In about 1941, William enlisted in the United Army Air Corps. He held the rank of Corporal and served with the 2nd AAF. William died on a B-24 Flying Fortress en route to a battle zone in Italy on February 7, 1945. He is buried in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, New York.
