World War II (1939-1945)

Thomas Albert Culver was born in Schenectady, New York, on April 24, 1925. In June 1925, he was living in Malta in Saratoga County, New York; by 1930, he was back living in the city of Schenectady. He was a student at Nott Terrace High School, and before entering the military, he worked for Guy Buick Company. 

On August 3, 1943, Thomas enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a sergeant serving with the 340th Bomb Squadron, 97th Bomb Group. In June 1944, he went overseas, and on September 13, 1944, he went missing during a mission over Blechhammer, Germany. He is remembered in Memory Gardens and Memorial Park in Colonie, New York.
