Edward Bernard Daly, the son of John and Eulalia (Clifford) Daly, was born on October 6, 1921, in Schenectady, New York. He was a student at St. Columba's. Edward was an employee of a cab service.
On May 8, 1942, Edward enlisted in the United States Army and was trained in Camp Shelby in Mississippi and Camp Livingston in Louisiana. He held the rank of Private First Class and served with Company C, 149th Infantry Regiment, 38th Infantry Division. On December 8, 1944, Edward was killed in the Philippines during combat. He is buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Montgomery County.
