Waldemar Francis Domkowski was born on October 10, 1919, in Schenectady, New York. He attended Nott Terrace High School and graduated in 1937.
On January 6, 1942, Waldemar enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps. He held the rank of Technical Sergeant and served with the 65th Bomber Squadron, 43rd Bomber Group, Heavy. On November 26, 1943, Waldemar was killed in action when his B-24 crashed in Pom Pom Valley, New Guinea. He is buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
