World War II (1939-1945)

Nicolino Eugene D'Onofrio was born in Schenectady, New York, on November 17, 1921. He grew up on Front Street in the city of Schenectady and was a student at Nott Terrace High School.

Nicolino enlisted in the United States Navy.  He was killed in an accident on April 2, 1944, while stationed in Norfolk in Virginia; he had been waiting for his orders to go overseas. He is buried in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
