World War II (1939-1945)

Edwin Amendran Jones was born in Schenectady, New York, on September 3, 1897. He served in World War I and belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and before entering World War II, he was working for the New York State Division of Highways.

On September 7, 1942, Edwin re-enlisted in the United States Army. He was a technician fifth grade serving with the 2111th Ordnance Battalion. On November 28, 1944, Edwin was killed in a plane crash in Papua New Guinea. He is buried in the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial in the Philippines.
