John William Kehoe, the son of Hugh and Anne (Walsh) Kehoe, was born on April 29, 1920, in Rotterdam, New York. He worked for General Electric and had graduated from Draper High School.

On January 9, 1942, John enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps. He held the rank of First Lieutenant and served with the 669th Bomber Squadron, 416th Bomber Group, Light. On December 25, 1944, while flying a Douglas A-25 Invader on a bombing mission over Munstereifel, Germany, his aircraft was struck by enemy flak, his engine burst into flames, and he crashed. John was considered missing in action until his remains were discovered a year later. He is buried in the Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial, Luxembourg.

John's brother Joseph was also killed during WWll; they are buried side by side in the Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial, Luxembourg.
