Adolph Edward Landa was born in Schenectady, New York, on April 12, 1923. He grew up in the town of Rotterdam in Schenectady County, and after graduating from Draper High School in 1941, he started working for General Electric.
In January 1943, Adolph enlisted in the United States Army. He was a technician fifth grade serving with the Medical Corps. While serving in India, he became ill and died on April 21, 1944. He is buried in the Fisher Cemetery in Rotterdam, New York.
