Angelo John Mineconzo, the son of Cataldo and Lena (Tiranardi) Mineconzo, was born on February 27, 1923, in Glen Alum, West Virginia. By 1930, he had moved to Schenectady. Before enlisting in the military, he worked for General Electric and graduated from Mont Pleasant High School.
On February 6, 1943, Angelo enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Technician 5th Grade and served with Company A, 60th Engineer Combat Battalion, 35th Infantry Division. On September 16, 1944, Angelo was killed in battle in France. He is buried in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
