World War II (1939-1945)

Edward Paniccia was born in Italy, on May 8, 1916. His parents were living in the city of Schenectady when they went to Italy to visit relatives, and while in Italy, Edward was born; they brought him back to Schenectady when he was a month old. He was a student at Nott Terrace High School and worked for General Electric before entering the military. 

In March 1943, Edward enlisted in the United States Army. On December 6, 1943, he was killed in battle in Italy. He is buried in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna, New York.
