Costantino Joseph "Connie" Paone, the son of James and Antoinette (Nardo) Paone, was born on April 17, 1919, in Schenectady, New York. He worked for the Pleasant Valley Packing Company and went to Mont Pleasant High School.

On April 11, 1942, Costantino enlisted in the United States Army and was trained in Camp Chaffee in Texas and Camp Cooke in California. He held the rank of Corporal and served with Headquarters Company, 9th Armored Infantry Battalion, 6th Armored Division. On December 17, 1944, Costantino was killed in combat in France. He is buried in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
