World War II (1939-1945)

Frederico A. Polsinelli was born in Lazio, Italy, on May 16, 1924. On April 14, 1938, he arrived in the United States with his family aboard the ship Rex; his final destination was Schenectady. He attended Nott Terrace High School before joining the military. 

On March 10, 1943, Frederico enlisted in the United States Army. He completed his basic training at Camp Upton in New York. He was transferred overseas to New Caledonia in 1943, and he also served in New Zealand and New Guinea. He was a private serving with the 172nd Infantry Regiment, 43rd Infantry Division. On January 13, 1945, Frederico was killed in battle in the Philippine Islands. He is buried in St. Anthony Cemetery in Glenville, New York.
