World War II (1939-1945)

Constantine Rea was born in Schenectady, New York, on May 3, 1917. He grew up in the village of Scotia in Schenectady County and graduated from Scotia-Glenville High School. Before entering the military, he was a left fielder for the Twilight Baseball League and worked for General Electric.

On December 2, 1943, Constantine enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private serving with the 39th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division. On December 11, 1944, Constantine was killed in battle in Germany. He is buried in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
