World War II (1939-1945)

Jack Louis Strisower was born in Schenectady, New York, on February 7, 1926. He grew up in the city of Schenectady, and after graduating from Nott Terrace High School in 1944, he attended both Alfred College and Union College.

On September 23, 1944, Jack enlisted in the United States Army. He completed his basic training at Fort Dix in New Jersey. He was a private first class serving with the 318th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division. On February 8, 1945, Jack was killed in battle in Germany. He is buried in the Beth Israel Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
