World War II (1939-1945)

Philip Leonard Sullivan was born in Schenectady, New York, on January 1, 1914. He grew up in the village of Scotia in Schenectady County and was a student at Scotia-Glenville High School. Before entering the military, he was a firefighter for Scotia and worked for the American Locomotive Company. 

In July 1944, Philip enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private first class serving with the 328th Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. On March 22, 1945, Philip was killed in battle in Germany. He is buried in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna, New York.
