World War II (1939-1945)

William Edward Trombley was born in Schenectady, New York, on March 5, 1920. He graduated from St. Columba's High School, Schenectady, New York, in 1937 and Siena College, Loudonville, New York, in 1941. Before entering the military, William worked for General Electric.

In July 1942, William enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps. He underwent military training at Mitchel Field, New York, and Fort Myer, Florida. On January 12, 1943, at King City, California, William died in an airplane accident. He is buried in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
