Horace George White , the son of James and Alice (Priddle) White, was born on December 16, 1920, in Schenectady, New York. He worked for the Mohawk National Bank after graduating from Draper High School in 1939.

On October 13, 1942, Horace enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps. He held the rank of Second Lieutenant and served with the 756th Bomber Squadron, 459th Bomber Group. On March 17, 1944, while flying above Vienna, Austria, Horace went missing in action. He is remembered at the Memory Gardens Cemetery and Memorial Park, Colonie, New York.
