Korean War (1950-1953)

Herbert Gerald Hoehn was born in Schenectady, New York, on November 25, 1932. He grew up in the town of Rotterdam in Schenectady County, New York, and was a student at Draper High School. He worked for the Mica Insulator Company on Broadway in the city of Schenectady. 

On November 29, 1949, Herbert enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private serving with Company L, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. On September 10, 1950, Herbert was killed during the Battle of Pusan Perimeter. He is buried in the Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam, New York.
