William Joseph Osborne was born in Rochester, New York, on March 4, 1928. On November 5, 1943, William enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He was a veteran of World War II and had served in the Pacific. William was still active in the Marine Corps when the Korean War began. He was a corporal serving with Company F, 2nd Battalion, 18th Marines. By 1950, he was stationed at the Scotia Naval Depot in Glenville, New York, and was living in Schenectady County, New York. While he was attending military training at the Lakehurst Naval Air Station in Lakewood, New Jersey, he died in an automobile accident. He is buried in Park View Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
