Kenneth Lloyd Fetter was born on March 31, 1947, in Schenectady, New York. After 1950, he moved with his family to the Village of Scotia, Schenectady County, New York. After graduating from Scotia Glenville High School in 1966, he started working for the Sandy Sals Company.

On November 10, 1966, Kenneth enlisted in the United States Army. He was a sergeant serving with Company C, 2nd Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. On February 20, 1968, Kenneth was killed by claymore mine fragments close to Lai Khe, South Vietnam. He is buried in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Colonie, New York.
