Albert Francis Whitford Jr., the son of Albert and Rose Whitford, was born on March 30, 1922, in New Jersey. According to the 1940 census, Albert's occupation was mechanic. It's unknown why Albert lived in Schenectady after 1940; his sister Ruby was living in Schenectady with her husband.
Albert enlisted in the United States Navy. He held the rank of Water Tender Third Class. Albert died while on active duty on May 13, 1945, for unclear reasons. He is buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Hawaii.
