Angelo F. Cicciu, the son of Pasquale and Anna Cicciu, was born on October 4, 1920, in Schenectady, New York. He participated in the chorus, the track team, the fencing and archery clubs, the National Honor Society, and graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in 1940.

In October 1940, Angelo enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Technician Fourth Grade and served with Headquarters Company, First Army. On December 18, 1944, Angelo was killed in battle in Belgium. He is buried in the Henri Chapelle American Cemetery, Belgium.
