World War II (1939-1945)

Anthony Jerry Sacco was born in Rotterdam Junction, Town of Rotterdam, Schenectady County, New York, on August 26, 1920. By 1930, he was living on Cutler Street in the city of Schenectady with his family. On April 21, 1938, Anthony enlisted in the National Guard before enlisting in the army.

On December 3, 1939, Anthony enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private serving with Company I, 310th Infantry Regiment, 78th Infantry Division. On March 5, 1945, Anthony was killed in battle in Germany. He is buried in the Sts. Cyril and Method Cemetery, Rotterdam, New York.
