Anthony Vincent Amitrano, the son of Michael and Giocomina Amitrano, was born on January 23, 1914, in Oneonta, New York. By 1940, he was living in Schenectady and working at the Schaffer Store. 

On March 21, 1941, Anthony enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Private First Class and served with the 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division.  Anthony was killed during the Battle for Brest on September 4, 1944, in Brest, Brittany. He is buried in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Ostego, New York.
