World War II (1939-1945)

Anthony Vincent Amitrano was born in Oneonta, New York, on January 23, 1914. By 1940, he was living in Schenectady, New York. Before entering the military, he was working for the Schaffer's Store. 

On March 21, 1941, Anthony enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private first class serving with the 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. On September 4, 1944, Anthony was killed during the Battle for Brest, Brittany. He is buried in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Ostego, New York.
