Anthony Vincent Lattanzio, the son of Liberato and Vincenza (Castricone) Lattanzio, was born on November 28, 1921, in Schenectady, New York. He worked at the Lattanzio Bros. Sand and Gravel Company alongside his father after graduating from Nott Terrace High School in 1941.

On January 19, 1943, Anthony enlisted in the United States Army and began his training at Camp Bowie in Texas. He held the rank of Private First Class and was part of the Tank Battalion. On July 3, 1944, Anthony was killed in combat in France. He is buried in St. Anthony Cemetery, Glenville, New York.
