Charles Edward Burdick was born in Schenectady, New York, on June 30, 1920. He attended Draper High School and worked for General Electric after graduating.
On February 2, 1942, Charles enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps and began his training at Lowry Field, Colorado. He held the rank of Flight Officer and served with Fighter Squadron, 8th Air Corps. On October 24, 1944, while in England, Charles was killed in a plane crash. He is buried in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, New York.
