World War II (1939-1945)

Charles Edward Burdick was born in Schenectady, New York, on June 30, 1920. After graduating from Draper High School, he went to work for General Electric.

On February 2, 1942, Charles enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps. He underwent his military training at Lowry Field, Colorado. He was a flight officer serving with Fighter Squadron, 8th Air Corps. On October 24, 1944, while in England, Charles was killed in a plane crash. He is buried in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, New York.
