World War II (1939-1945)

Chester Thomas Obremski was born in Schenectady, New York, on July 5, 1919. He grew up in the city of Schenectady, attended the public schools, and worked for General Electric. Before entering the military, he was living in the hamlet of Rexford in Saratoga County and was working on a farm.

On July 13, 1944, Chester enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private serving with the 184th Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. On May 23, 1945, Chester died from injuries sustained in the Pacific. He is buried in St. Adalbert Cemetery in Rotterdam, New York.
