Christian Guenther was born in Amsterdam, New York, on October 19, 1892. By 1900, he was living in Rotterdam Junction. Christian was self-employed before joining the military.
On June 29, 1918, Christian enlisted in the United States Army. He was a Private in the 2nd Company of the 7th Battalion. On October 18, 1918, Christian died of pneumonia in Liverpool, England, while on his way to France. He is buried in the Woestina Cemetery, Rotterdam Junction, New York.
