World War II (1939-1945)

Dante Michael Puccetti was born in Schenectady, New York, on June 27, 1916. He grew up in the city of Schenectady and graduated from Vocational High School. Before entering the military, he worked for the local Super Market.

In March 1941, Dante enlisted in the United States Army. Before going overseas, he was stationed at Camp Livingston in Louisiana, Camp Gordon in Florida, and Camp Pickett in Virginia. He was a private first class serving with Company F, 109th Infantry Regiment, 28th Infantry Division. On August 9, 1944, Dante was killed in battle in Percy, France. He is buried in St. Anthony Cemetery in Glenville, New York.
