Dante Michael Puccetti, the son of Francesco and Palma Puccetti, was born on June 27, 1916, in Schenectady, New York. He graduated from Vocational High School and worked for the Super Markets before joining the military. 

In March 1941, Dante enlisted in the United States Army. Before going overseas he was stationed at Camp Livingston, Louisiana, Camp Gordon, Florida, and Camp Pickett, Virginia. Dante held the rank of Private First Class and served with Company F, 109th Infantry Regiment, 28th Infantry Division. On August 9, 1944, Dante was killed in combat in Percy, France. He is buried in St. Anthony Cemetery, Glenville, New York.
