Dean S. Clements, the son of Elliott and Florence (Sloan) Clements, was born sometime around 1920, in Schenectady County, New York. He attended Craig School through the eighth grade.
Dean enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Private First Class and served with the 30th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. On July 15, 1943, during the invasion of Sicily, Dean was killed in combat. He is buried in the Sicily Rome American Cemetery and Memorial, Italy.
