Dennis F. Zeh, the son of Adam and Rose Zeh, was born on May 8, 1895, in Howes Cave, New York. By 1910, he was living in Glenville, New York.

Dennis enlisted in the United States Army on July 24, 1913, and was trained at Fort Slocum in New York. He was a Private First Class in Company B, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. Dennis went missing in action at the Second Battle of Marne on July 21, 1918. In August 2018, his status was changed to killed in action, but Dennis was never found. He is remembered in the Aisne Marne American Cemetery, France.
