Edo Morincelli was born on January 7, 1919, in Rotterdam, New York. He was a Draper High School Student. Before joining the service, Edo worked at Central Market on Guilderland Avenue.

In June 1939, Edo enlisted in the United States Navy. He held the rank of Machinist Mate Second Class and was on board the USS Helena. When the USS Helena was attacked on December 7, 1941, in Pearl Harbor, Edo was killed in the line of duty. He is buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Hawaii.
