Edward Francis O'Malley, the son of Charles and Elizabeth O'Malley, was born on August 21,1924, in Hoosick Falls, New York. He relocated to Schenectady when he was very young, attended Schenectady public schools, and graduated from college. Edward was employed by the General Electric Company.
Edward was in the United States Navy during World War ll. He enlisted in July of 1943 and was on the USS Kermit Roosevelt (ARG-16). Before the Korean War, Edward transferred to the US Air Force. He held the rank of Airman First Class and served with the 3450th Airbase group. Edward died on June 5, 1953, in a car crash while he was stationed at the Cheyenne Air Force Base in Wyoming. He is buried in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
