Edward Stanley Anselowitz was born in Monmouth, New Jersey, on July 31, 1919. By 1930, he was living in the Town of Rotterdam, in Schenectady County, New York. Prior to enlisting in the military, he worked for General Electric and the Gridley Sand & Gravel Company.
In June 1942, Edward enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Staff Sergeant and served with the 330th Infantry Regiment, 83rd Infantry Division. On August 8, 1944, Edward was killed in battle in France. He is buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, France.
