Edwin Frederick Abear Jr. was born in Syracuse, New York, on July 21, 1932. By 1940, he was living in the Town of Rotterdam, Schenectady County, New York. Edwin was a Draper High School student. He was involved in the YMCA in his community.
Edwin enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was an airman second class and was training at the 3757th School Squadron, Arlington Aeronautical School of Flight. On May 17, 1952, Edwin was killed after he fell from a vehicle in Tillamook, Oregon. He is buried in the Willamette National Cemetery, Oregon.
