World War II (1939-1945)

Eugene Richard Fay was born in Schenectady, New York, on June 30, 1922. He grew up in the city of Schenectady and graduated from Nott Terrace High School in 1939.

Eugene enlisted in the United States Merchant Marine. When his ship was torpedoed on February 2, 1943, he was lost at sea. He is remembered at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Saratoga, New York.

Light Lie The Sea Upon Thee
