Everett Hugh Keefe, the son of Nicholas and Winifred (McCullen) Keefe, was born on June 15, 1924, in Schenectady, New York. He played baseball and basketball for St. Luke's Church on State Street, as well as baseball for the Twilight League. Everett attended Central Park Junior High and Mont Pleasant High School, where he graduated in 1942.

Everett enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in September 1942. He held the rank of Corporal and served with the Ordnance Company, First Service Battalion, 1st Marine Division FMF. On September 19, 1944, Everett was killed during the Battle of Peleliu. He is buried in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, New York.

Everett is remembered with a memorial window in the nave of St. Luke's Church on State Street.
