Frank Kruesi Slutter was born in Queens County, New York, on May 15, 1918. How long he lived in Schenectady, New York, and when he moved there are unknown.
On November 18, 1940, Frank enlisted in the United States Army. He completed his basic training at Fort Bliss in Texas. He was a first lieutenant serving with the 12th Infantry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. On March 10, 1944, Frank was killed in combat during the invasion of the Admiralty Islands. He is buried in the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial in the Philippines.
