Frank Yozzo, the son of Nicholas Yozzo, was born October 24, 1893, in Torre di Ruggiero, Italy. It's unclear when Frank arrived in America or why he was in Schenectady.
On June 21, 1917, Frank enlisted in the United States Army. On May 17, 1918, he was deployed overseas aboard the USS President Grant. He was a Private in the 105th Infantry Regiment of the 27th Infantry Division. On October 19, 1918, Frank was killed in battle during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. He is buried in the Somme American Cemetery and Memorial, France.
