World War II (1939-1945)

Frederick Forest Kirk was born in Frankfort, New York, on May 14, 1927. By 1935, he was living with his family in the city of Schenectady. He attended Lincoln Elementary, Central Park Junior High School, and vocational high school. Before joining the military, he was working for Maqua's Company bindery.

On May 15, 1944, Frederick enlisted in the United States Navy. He was stationed on the USS Nashville, and on December 13, 1944, Frederick was killed in battle in the Philippines' Mindoro Strait. He is buried in the Evergreen Memorial Park in Colonie, New York.
